As we have already said, man was created in the image of God; he is made up of a physical body, a psychic body and a mental body. In the preceding chapters, we learned that the physical body and the psychic body are merely the envelopes or garments of the mind. These two bodies are therefore perishable. Consequently, only the Spirit is the immortal part and the true image of God.
